December 2008 Report

We have covered our last rally for the 2008 year which was last weekend at Oberon, which had no incidents requiring medical intervention.

2008 has been a very busy year for the team with many events, ranging from club rallies to national events.

We attended a number of patients during the year and the area of major concern was the number of Cervical Neck Injuries. These injuries occurred at lower level events and highlights to us the need for the use of neck restraints across more levels of the sport. At the national level there were a number of incidents that had huge cervical injury potential but this did not occur as they were wearing the HANS ® or Lebratt Brace.

We ask that you seriously consider using one of these devices in 2009.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the promoters that have contracted us for events and there continued loyalty - once again a big thank you.

The biggest asset is our team which consists of our core members Matt Croxford, Chris Benjamin, Jeff Wood, Graham McGrath, Stephen Gaggin, Tony Harris, Mark Gibbs and Ian Nielsen, Rik Hagen whom have worked with our other team members to deliver a high level of service at all events - thank you all.

We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to our sponsors, Toyota - for that great Troopie that has been at many events this year providing medical and rescue coverage, Les Walkden Rallying for there continued support with transport and logistics, Searoads for freighting our equipment across Bass Strait and PT Hydraulics for the technical rescue support throughout the year.

I would like to acknowledge the great support of the Motor Image Rally Team, PBMS (Kevin, Jodie and Crew), Phillip Rodgers, Aaron Thorton thanks for the great experiences we have had in Asia and we look forward to working with you once again in 2009.

2009 is shaping up to be a massive motorsport year for the team; we have secured a number of new events which we hope to be in a position to announce shortly.

To all the competitors whom participate in motor sport, thanks because without you there would be no events

Merry Xmas and a Great New Year
