Our team has just completed one of the busiest periods since the company's inception, following on from our busy August we have since provided coverage to an additional five motor sport events in addition to our busy corporate work load.

Motorsport Safety & Rescue Pty Ltd has also been contracted by the Producers of Top Gear Australia to provide the safety coverage for the filming of the Australian Series.

Event ReportsQuit Targa WestSeven Crews provided coverage to Quit Targa West which was conducted over four days based from Perth, Western Australia.

The crews attended two incidents in which resulted in both cases the co drivers being hospitalized for neck injuries. It is pleasing to report that they are both making good recoveries.

Red Centre to Gold Coast Trial

Three crews provided coverage on this epic event which totaled 7,000 kilometers in distance, commencing from Alice Springs, travelling as far north as Cairns then travelling west to Birdsville before returning to the Gold Coast.

The crews did little medical work with no serious incidents.

Our crews reported that this was a fantastic event with great competitors, service crews and officials and have already put there names up for any future events of this nature.

One of the vehicles used for this event was the Toyota Troop Carrier which is provided by Toyota, thank you Toyota for your ongoing support and providing us a great vehicle for this type of work.

MSR was a minor sponsor of the Peugeot that was crewed by Chris Snell and MSR team member Graham McGrath as the co driver, whilst they experienced some problems on Day One they were able to rejoin and finished the event and achieved third in class - Well done boys.

AMSAG - Cowra

The crew of Jeff Woods and Mark Gibbs covered this two day event held in the forests surrounding Cowra. The crew enjoyed a relatively quite weekend with only a couple of minor incidents.

Tasmanian Tarmac ChallengeThe first Australian Rally Championship tarmac event was conducted in association with this event. We used 8 Crews to provide coverage for this event including using our Toyota Troop Carrier as one of our dedicated FIV vehicles.

Over the course of the event we attended two incidents with only minor injuries

Rally of Malaysia

Two team members travelled to the APRC Rally of Malaysia to provide team support to the Motor Image Team and Evans Motor Sport.

With the hot humid weather we were very busy managing the hydration and cool vests for our clients which included the Crocker, Sungkar, Aria, Kumadia and Evans crews.

With ambient temperatures reaching 38 Deg with high humidity and in car temperatures exceeding 70 degrees this resulted in a very busy time as well as assisting some other crews who were suffering in the heat.

Congratulations to Cody and Ben on once again winning the APRC Championship for a third time and to Rifat and Bill for achieving an APRC podium - Great work!

Unfortunately Eli crashed out on the Sunday but still finished second in the Pirelli Search for a Champion competition.

The rally bug continues to bite, with another staff member becoming involved as a co driver, Congratulations to Benji from Rockhampton whom finished two stages before the event he was competing in was cancelled, he is looking forward to the next event.
