July 2008 Update

Rally of Hokkaido

Geoff Becker from MSR accompanied the Motor Image Team to the Rally of Hokkaido in Japan. MSR have the responsibility of managing the hydration and well being of Cody, Ben, Rifat and Bill as well as the service crew.

A mixture of weather made the event interesting with some high temperatures, and then followed by torrential rain and thunderstorms. On the Saturday a number of stages were cancelled as they became impassable due to the torrential rain.

Whilst this event did not provide the team the best result, Cody still is in a good position to win the championship with three rounds to go and his closest competitors only two.

Pacific Rally

We had one crew attend the Pacific Rally in New South Wales near Port Macquarie. The crew attended to one incident.

August/September

Our team has a very busy schedule in front of us, we are covering the Nyall Stages Rally in New South Wales, we then cover the Australian Safari in Western Australia with a team of 17 people, at the same time we will have two staff members in Indonesia. At the completion of the Australian Safari a number of the crew stay on in Perth and are met by some additional staff to cover Targa West.

Targa West concludes and another of our teams commences the Red Centre to Gold Coast Trial. Whilst this event is being conducted a crew will also cover the AMSAG Cowra Rally.
