End Of Year Report

Motorsport Safety & Rescue has completed its busiest year in providing safety services to the rally industry. We have covered a record number of events at all level of the sport. These have included state, national and international events.

Since our last report we have covered the following events:

Akademos Rally

A well run event which utilized two FIV's for the day. Whilst there were a number of crashes there were no injuries.

A touring road event for Porsche vehicles which was conducted in Victoria and included using the Great Ocean Road. A quite event for our crews who got a real buzz in using Porsche vehicles for their FIV's.

NGK - Rally of Melbourne

The final round of the NEC Australian Rally Championship conducted in the Yarra Valley. Whilst the crews attended a number of incidents there was no injuries.

Congratulations to Simon and Sue Evans and the Toyota team on achieving their second consecutive Australian Rally Championship

Rally of China

A staff member was in China to support the Motor Image team, Cody Crocker and Ben Atkinson took out the Asian Pacific Championship as soon as they drove over the start ramp, Cody also went onto win the rally. Well done.

George Derrick Rally

Our final event for the year was recently conducted with two FIV's providing support to this Victorian State Round - No injuries.

Our first event for 2008 is Rally Tasmania. What then follows is another busy year of events. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the organisers whom have used our services in 2007 and look forward to working with them next year.

Our biggest asset is our staff and I would like to thank then all for there great work during the year, special mention needs to be made of our core group members Chris Benjamin, Jeff Woods, Matt Croxford, Ian Nielsen, Tony Harris, Graham McGrath and Stephen Gaggin. I would also like to publicly thank Kathy Woods and Jason Kells for sourcing Fire Staff throughout the year.

Like any group we could not survive without the support of our sponsors and a big thanks to Searoads, Toyota and Les Walkden Enterprises.

Recently we experienced problems with our web site which were out of our control, thank you for your patience whilst it was repaired

Our team wishes you all merry Xmas and happy New Year
