2007 Rally of Canberra Report

Motorsport Safety & Rescue Pty Ltd provided the FIV system for the 2007 Rally of Canberra.We supplied a total of eight First Intervention Vehicles with seven being designated medical units and one as a technical rescue unit.

Each medical unit was staffed by a Medical Officer and a Paramedic.

The event started with covering testing from the Monday through to Wednesday with no incidents.

On Friday two units covered the morning shakedown session with nothing to report.

On Friday evening a night forest stage was conducted, for a number of competitors this was either a new experience or one they had not undertaken for a long time. One competitor rolled and was able to continue with a loss of only 90 seconds and no injuries.

Saturday the team attended to two teams both whom had suffered rollovers but with no injuries.

On Sunday we attended to two teams again both involved in crashes with only minor injuries suffered.

MSR would like to congratulate the winners of the both the APRC and ARC events.

Our next event moves to New South Wales at where we will be providing the FIV system for the Bega Valley Motors Rally a joint NSW and Victorian Round on June 10th.
