2007 Quit Forest Rally Report

The 2007 Quit Forest Rally, was an event of four seasons.

The event commenced on the Friday with shakedown at the Super Special Stage, one minor incident occurred in which a competitor hit one of the large hay bales on a sharp turn, little damage and was able to continue.

Saturday commenced off fine and in the morning, we had to attend an incident in which a Subaru had an off on the Ellis Stage. The car caught on fire but fortunately due to a number of competitors providing their fire extinguishers it never took a hold. On arrival of the FIV's the car was hot and embers were under the car.

With the assistance of the local brigade whom were at the start of the stage, the situation was soon resolved.

The rest of the day was incident free.

Sunday poured with rain with some special stages being shortened. In the morning there were no incidents but as the day become wetter there was a number of incidents.

The crew attended to a member of one crew post accident, after a short period of medical treatment the patient recovered.

MSR would like to acknowledge the class winners. It was also great to see the Pirtek Cars produce great results for the weekend which is encouraging sign for the rest of the year.
