Tango Lake Mountain Sprint - Report

The Lake Mountain Sprint "tango" was the first event for 2007 for the MSR crew.Two FIV's were used for the event as well as a contracted Ambulance. There was no special stage stoppages required for medical interventions.

On the Friday, there were five incidents with no injuries, two incidents on Saturday with no injuries and no incidents on Sunday.

Competitors were subjected to a range of weather conditions from a hot Friday, snow and rain on Saturday and a very wet and cold Sunday.MSR would like to congratulate the place getters, 1st was - Alan Simonsen/Ben Searcy in Australian Home Loan Centre Mitsubishi EVO 9, 2nd was Eli Evans/Chris Murphy in a Subaru Spec C, 3rd Jason and John White in there Lamborghini . It was great to witness the great competition over the weekend, Alan Simonsen European experience had people holding there breath in awe of his ability. There was a great battle between Cody Crocker and Eli Evans. A spin on the fist stage on Sunday cost Cody valuable time and resulted in his second place sliding to a fourth place. Well done Eli on a great effort.

The battle will be interesting when the competition moves to Rally Tasmania in February for these tarmac competitors as well as the legendary tarmac professor Jim Richards.

MSR next event is the Coates Rally of Queensland the first round of the NEC ARC Rally Championship.
