2006 - Porsche Mt Buller Sprint
The countdown has commenced for Motorsport Safety & Rescue Pty Ltd staff as we prepare for our first event for the 2006 calendar the 2006 Porsche Mt Buller Sprint.
The event commences in Mansfield Victoria on the 26th January 2006 with its prologue. The event then moves to the mountain from Friday 27th to Sunday 29th January 2006 for the Special Stage runs up the mountain.
The event has attracted a full field of competitors with a huge range of vehicles including some historic early 1960 Porsche vehicles from the Porsche museum.
Outright contenders include leading tarmac competitors Jim Richard's (Porsche), Keith Quinn (Porsche) and Jason White (Lamborgini). Subaru Australia will also launch there tarmac program with Dean Herridge making the move from gravel. MSR team members will also be watching Molly Taylor (Daughter of Coral) as she tackles the mountain.
MSR will have three dedicated first Intervention Vehicles at the event and will be supported by Rural Ambulance Victoria, State Emergency Services and the CFA.
MSR will have two vehicles at the prologue and then three for the Mt Buller Sprint to be held over the total of 8 runs up the mountain on Friday 26th, Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th January 2006.
